Infratil (a New Zealand based investor in infrastructure and utilities and the owner and operator of Glasgow Prestwick Airport in Scotland and majority owner and operator of Wellington Airport in New Zealand) has agreed to purchase the assets and business of Kent International Airport (KIA) from the Administrators of Planestation Plc. The company is listed on the New Zealand stock exchange.

Infratil believes that Manston Airport has strong medium to long term prospects, both for passenger and freight operations, and first priority is to re-establish operations at the airport.
